Brownlow Trail System is located near Pioneer Park. There are seven trails that make up this system. The trails wind through juniper, scrub oak, and high desert vegetation that is common around Prescott. There is no water along the trails.
The Brownlow Trail System provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy nature within the City limits of Prescott. The trailhead is an easy drive from anywhere in the Prescott area and the large trailhead parking makes this an ideal location for a group trail outing of hikers, horseback riders, or mountain bikers. At the trailhead, there is adequate parking for large vehicles, including horse trailers.
These trails range in length from 1.68 to 6.08 miles and can be combined in a variety of loops.
Red loop trail route = 1.68 miles
Yellow loop trail route = 2.12 miles
Blue out and back trail route = 5.98 miles
Maroon loop trail route = 4.79 miles
Orange loop trail route = 5.15 miles
Green loop trail route = 6.08 miles
Williamson Valley Road to Willow Creek Road Trail = 4.15 miles
In addition, there is a life-size sculpture of an Arizona mountain lion by sculptor Jesse Homoki.
Hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders are permitted on all the trails in the system.
