The easy 9.9-mile Cave Creek Trail, begins at 3,300 feet elevation, to climb to just over 4,000 feet. This path is good for hikers and mountain bikers. The stream is habitat for longfin dace, fathead minnow, green sunfish, and the endangered Gila top minnow.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Cave Creek Trail.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use the Cave Creek Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Cave Creek Trail is open year-round

Fees: There are no fees associated with this trail.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: This trail is located within the Tonto National Forest; forest regulations apply. If you PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT!

Directions: To reach The Cave Creek Trail from Phoenix, travel north on Interstate 17 to the Carefree Highway. On the Carefree highway head east to North Scottsdale Road. On North Scottsdale Road travel north to Carefree. From Carefree, travel east on Cave Creek Road to Forest Road 24 north. Go through the town of Camp Creek still heading north on 24 to Seven Springs Recreation Area.
