| Facilities: Restrooms, garbage bins, a cement boat ramp, drinking water, and campsites are provided at Cataract Lake. Cataract Lake Campground at the lake has 18 single unit sites with tables and fire rings. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Cataract Lake. Best Time To Visit: Cataract Lake is open May to October, weather permitting. A short walk to the lake is required in the winter when the campground is closed. The boat ramp area is closed in winter. Fees: There is a fee for overnight camping. Accessibility: The restrooms are accessible but lake access may be limited. Rules: A valid Arizona fishing license is required for all anglers 14 years of age and older. Directions: To reach Cataract Lake from Williams turn north onto Golf Course Drive (exit 161 from I-40). After passing under the railroad tracks, turn right immediately and go about 1 mile to the campground entrance on the left. The road is paved and open year-round. From Railroad Ave. in Williams, turn north (right) on 7th St. to Cataract Road. Turn left and follow Cataract Road west about 1 mile, go under the I-40 underpass to the campground entrance on the right. Not accessible for large RVs. |
