Chugach National Forest - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Mobiling
Roughly the same size as the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined, the Chugach National Forest offers opportunities for the angler, hiker, hunter, skier, mountain biker and camper.

Chugach State Park - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Mobiling
Beyond the foothills at Anchorage's edge lies the third largest state park in America -a half-million acres of some of the most accessible hiking, skiing, camping, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling, rafting, and climbing in Alaska. Over 100 campsites are available at the Chugach State Park.

Denali National Park & Preserve - Cross Country Skiing
Denali National Park & Preserve features North America's highest mountain, 20,320-foot tall Mount McKinley. The Alaska Range also includes numerous other mountains and many large glaciers.

Eklutna Lakeside Trail - Cross Country Skiing
This scenic trail is an old road bed that follows the north edge of the lake for eight miles and then extends into the backcountry. In the summer the trail is bordered by wildflowers and in the fall currants, cranberries and raspberries grow alongside the trail.

Ptarmigan Lake Trail - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Mobiling
This trail is 7.5 miles long one-way, and can produce a wide variety of scenery. The first mile of this trail is fairly level. After that, there are some steep sections up to the lake. The trail around the lake has some steep sections as well, but is mostly level.

Resurrection Pass Trail - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Mobiling
The Resurrection Pass Trail is 19 3/4 miles long, and is open to hikers, horseback riders, and ATV's. This is a fairly level, well-maintained trail that can be muddy in some places.

Russian Lakes Trail - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Mobiling
This trail is 21 miles long one-way, and can produce a wide variety of scenery. The level foot path has gradual grades, and is well maintained. This is an easy hike for a good family outing.
