National Recreation Areas

Buskin River State Recreation Site
The Buskin River supports the most productive and popular sport fishery on the Kodiak Island road system. The red salmon, king salmon, Dolly Varden, and rainbow trout are popular species in this river.

Pasagshak River State Recreation Site
This spot is a favorite for silver salmon fishing. King salmon and Dolly Varden are also found here. The river is relatively short, and is unusual in that it reverses its flow four times daily with the ebb and flow of the tides.
