| Facilities: The Eagle River Campground provided restrooms and running water. Each campsite is equipped with picnic tables and a fire ring. Reservations: One-half of the campsites are available by reservation. Best Time To Visit: This campground is usually only open from May through September, depending on the weather. Fees: There are day usage and overnight camping fees that are charged. Accessibility: Some sites are paved completely allowing easy access to handicapped persons. Toilets and drinking water are also accessible. Rules: There are a variety of rules at the Chugach State Park, concerning everything from horses, pets, firearms, vehicles, quicksand, gold panning and more. Please contact the Park for more specific information. Directions: To find the Eagle River Campground, head east out of Anchorage on the Glenn Highway. Take the Hiland Road exit. Follow the green and white campground signs, they will lead right into the campground. It is located at the end of the frontage road that runs along side of the Glenn Highway. |
