Located adjacent to the Kenai River and Cooper Creek, this wooded area has mountain views. This campground is located within the Chugach National Forest. There are just over 20 individual camping sites at Cooper Creek South Campgrounds.

Facilities: There are no known facilities at the Cooper Creek South Campground.

Reservations: Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.

Best Time To Visit: The campground is open May through September.

Fees: An admission fee is charged.

Accessibility: There are eight handicapped accessible campground sites at the Cooper Creek South Campground.

Rules: Maximum RV size is 45 feet. Bears are in the area. Keep all unattended food inside vehicles.

Directions: From Anchorage, go south on Seward Highway to Sterling Highway. Turn towards Soldotna at the Y. Cooper Creek Campground is at milepost 50.7 of the Sterling Highway on the opposite side from the river.
