Buskin River State Recreation Site borders the Buskin River and is near the state airport. The Buskin River supports the most productive and popular sport fishery on the Kodiak Island road system. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game operates a weir just outside the park.
Most camping sites are suitable for RV's and there is an RV overflow area. Two picnic shelters and a handicapped- accessible fishing platform are available.
The red salmon, king salmon, Dolly Varden, and rainbow trout are popular species in this river.

Facilities: The Buskin River State Recreation Site contains 15 individual campsites along with restrooms, water, two picnic areas, and fire rings.

Accessibility: A handicapped-accessible fishing platform is available. Restrooms and drinking water are also accessible.

Rules: There are a variety of rules to consider when visiting one of the Alaskan State Parks, concerning everything from private property, pets, firearms, vehicles, mudflats, gold panning and more. Please contact the Kodiak Area Office for more specific information.

Directions: To reach the park from the Kodiak State Airport, turn right onto Rezanof Drive. Follow Rezanof for .7 miles. Turn right at the park sign.

To reach the park from the ferry dock, go west on Center Street, make a left onto Rezanof Drive. Follow for 4.1 miles. Turn left at the park sign.
