These centers have information about state and national parks and other public lands throughout Alaska. Visitors will find museum exhibits, video programs, recreation information, book and map sales, and an informed staff to answer questions about where to go and what to do in Alaska.

Facilities: Visitor Center/Exhibits: Exhibits on regions of Alaska including culture, recreation opportunities, wildlife and much more. Some centers offer short videos on a variety of subjects and activities pertaining to the different regions.
Local restaurants and stores are within walking distance of all the centers.

Best Time To Visit:  Anchorage: Summer: daily, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Otherwise: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Fairbanks: Summer: daily, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Otherwise: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tok: May 15 through September: daily, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. October through May 15: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Ketchikan: Summer: daily, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Otherwise: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fees: The Anchorage, Fairbanks and Tok centers have no admission fees. The Ketchikan center charges a user fee during the summer season.

Accessibility: All centers are wheelchair accessible.

Directions:  Anchorage: The center is located at 605 W 4th Avenue, downtown Anchorage. It is located within the "Old Federal Building" on the corner of 4thAvenue and F Street.

Fairbanks: The center is located at 250 Cushman Street, downtown Fairbanks on the corner of 3rd and Cushman Streets in the Historic Courthouse Square.
Tok: Along the world-famous Alaskan Highway (Milepost #1314.)
Ketchikan: Downtown, at 50 Main Street, between Bawder, Mill, Main, & Spruce Mill Streets one block from the cruise ship dock

Reservations: Reservations and permits are not necessary to access the centers. However, permits and reservations for other facilities (such as USFS cabins, NPS cabins, etc.) are handled through some of the centers as a service to those agencies. Contact the individual centers for more information.
