Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum
The Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum offers a widespread collection of historical Alaskan aircraft. Many of these aircraft were restored to their original condition in the restoration facility by museum staff and volunteers.
The museum's 100-seat theatre offers a large library of film footage of Alaska's pioneer aviators. The film program includes subjects such as the WWII Aleutian Campaign history and pioneer Alaskan air services.
The exhibit galleries feature the evolution of Alaskan aviation from 1913 to the present. The photo exhibit is composed from the personal photographs of pioneers and veterans. The photos are complimented with an array of hand made museum scale models, rare Alaskan aviation memorabilia, artifacts, maps, newspaper accounts, and vintage clothing displays.
