| Facilities: The Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park provides 13 individual campsites with restrooms, water, and picnic areas. Reservations: Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park does not require reservations for entrance to the park. Best Time To Visit: Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park is open year-round. When the first snow falls, the gate to the campground is closed, however, walk in camping is allowed. Fees: Unknown Accessibility: Restrooms, drinking water, and some historical features are all handicapped-accessible. Rules: There are a variety of rules to consider when visiting one of the Alaskan State Parks, concerning everything from private property, pets, firearms, vehicles, mudflats, gold panning and more. Directions: To reach Fort Abercrombie State Historic Park from the ferry dock, go west on Center Street, and make a right onto Rezanof Drive. Follow Rezanof for 3.7 miles. Turn right onto Abercrombie Drive which leads to the park. If starting from the Kodiak State Airport, make a right onto Rezanof Drive. Follow Rezanof for 8.5 miles.
