Best Time To Visit: The campground is typically open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged. Accessibility: There are many camping sites at the Williwaw Campground that are handicapped accessible. Please contact the Ranger District for more specific information. Rules: There are a variety of rules at the Chugach National Forest, concerning everything from horses, pets, firearms, vehicles, mudflats, gold panning and more. Directions: From Anchorage go 55 miles south on Seward Highway to Portage Glacier Road (milepost 78.9) The campground is located at mile 4.1 of the Portage Glacier Road. |
