| Twin Bears Camp offers twelve cabins, a recreation hall, a dining hall, and bath houses all situated around a peaceful, four-acre lake ideal for short or lengthy stays by groups of people. Twin Bears Camp is operated by the Twin Bears Outdoor Education Association, a non-profit volunteer group whose mission is to provide a place for outdoor education and recreation. The camp is a project of the non-profit Twin Bears Association, operated with the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.In summer, hot and cold running water and electricity are available. In winter, woodstoves provide heat, and propane fuels lights and cooking burners. The camp boasts a rustic ball diamond, a volleyball court, a basketball hoop, and a group fire ring. There are ski trails, a nature trail and a year-round all-terrain-vehicle trail looping around the camp and connecting to the outlying trail system. Handicap accessible facilities are available at the recreation hall, dining hall and latrines. The lake is occasionally stocked with grayling and rainbows. |
