The Ptarmigan Creek Campground is located in a wooded area with mountain views. There are 16 individual campsites. Popular activities include fishing for dolly and rainbow trout and day hiking to Ptarmigan Lake.


Facilities: Each camping site at the Ptarmigan Creek Campground is provided with a small grill and a picnic table. Restrooms are also provided. Firewood is provided when possible.

Best Time To Visit: The campground is open May through September.

Fees: An admission fee is charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Maximum RV size is 85 feet. Bears are in the area; keep all unattended food inside vehicles. The maximum lenght of stay is 14 days.

Directions: From Anchorage, go south on Seward Highway to Crown Point, approximately 100 miles. Turn at approximately Milepost 23 into campground.
