Located 38.5 miles north of Juneau, the park consist of over 2,800 acres of open forest, rocky beaches and meadowlands. Hiking is a major activity in the park. High points of the park consist of the three and a half mile Point Bridget Trail and sea life near the rocky shores. The Bridget Point trail provides an excellent view of the Chilkat Mountains and of the Lynn Canal and is strongly recommended (approximately 6-7 hours r/t).
Wildlife along the shores include sea lions, humpback whales (April through Sept), and shore birds. Bears and Sitka black tailed deer inhabit the park. There are no established facilities for camping but wilderness camping is allowed. During the winter skiing and snowshoeing are primary activities. No motorized vehicles are allowed in the park.
