The entire Herbert Glacier Trail is relatively flat with scenic views along Herbert River. The terrain and grounds gradually change as visitors get closer to the glacier. Tall forests become alder and smaller vegetation. Eventually visitors break into the vast moraine left behind by the rapidly receding glacier.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided along this trail.

Best Time To Visit: This trail is open year-round.

Fees: There is no entry fee at Herbert Glacier Trail.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Please use caution - this is bear country. Visitors should know what to do if they inadvertently come across a bear.

Directions: Herbert Glacier Trailhead is one of three at approximately 26 1/2 mile Glacier Highway just beyond the Herbert River.
