Why are we giving away trackable geocoins?
The answer is simple, really: LOVE OF OUTDOOR ADVENTURES!
Our mission is, and always has been, to help people enjoy the outdoors. We want to help you make memories and we know that geocaching is a great way to do that. So, we've ordered 44,000 EatStayPlay.com tokens and we're giving away trackable geocoins to spread out name out there in the real world, the world where people camp, fish, and geocache.
You know that EatStayPlay.com has great information about outdoor recreation, including geocaching. I know that EatStayPlay.com has great information. Now, we want a way to have the world know!
The Vision:
- Tokens go out into caches across the USA, saying "Take me with you!" in four bright colors with the EatStayPlay faces
- People see them in caches and take them home
- Now, the people log on to EatStayPlay.com and see what we're all about
- "Wow! Who knew that a website like this existed! I can find all the information about outdoor recreation in ONE website. Cool! I'll sign up for the newsletter and follow them on Twitter!"
- Ah, a new EatStayPlay.com family member is found.
- They post on the forum to see what the other tokens and geocoins are up to
- You (our old EatStayPlay.com friend) get to meet NEW friends on EatStayPlay.com
We have users all across the USA but we'd like to START in the states we already have listed on the website.
What Do You Need To Do?
To get your own trackable geocoin, all you need to do is put 50 EatStayPlay.com tokens in caches that you visit. We ask that you don't put more than 5 in any cache.
Once you've placed all 50 tokens, you need to email us the caches where you placed the tokens.
When we get the message that all 50 are out in caches, then we send you your EatStayPlay.com trackable geocoin. You get to name it, give it a mission, and send it out into the world to travel from geocache to geocache. It's a simple as that!
We've already started a few coins and sent them on their way. You can find them on Geocaching.com and on our forum dedicated to outdoor adventures and geocaching. The forum is located at: EatStayPlay-Forum.com and is open for registration.
